LPG/CNG Personality of the Week – Mr. Mele Kyari, NNPCL GMD

Niglpgas.com’s apt LPG/CNG Personality of the Week is non-other that the suave and perspicacious gentleman steering the affairs of Nigeria’s energy Brobdingnagian – the Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation Limited, Mr. Mele Kyari.

Mr. Kyari’s exceptional astuteness once again breezed to the fore this week, when, NNPCL announced a strategic partnership with leading Gas Company, Nipco Gas Limited, to establish and deploy about 56 CNG Daughter Booster Stations  in NNPC Retail Filling Stations, around the country.

It has been projected that up to a whopping 200,000 vehicles will be served by these CNG Stations, when they become functional.

Mr. Mele Kyari, in another auspicious move that amplifies his forward-thinking capabilities, has led NNPCL, to forge another significant collaboration with Miju Autogas, a foremost CNG Conversion Kit Manufacturer in India, to set up auto-gas Conversion and Training Centers, in a bid to stimulate and promote the conversion of vehicles from petrol/diesel to CNG/LPG in the country.

These laudable projects, when completed, will make CNG readily available and hasten the transition from petrol/diesel to autogas (autoCNG/autoLPG/autoLNG) in the country.

This will trigger a substantial reduction in the cost of transportation of people and goods, whilst spurring employment generation and stimulating the growth/expansion of the nation’s economy.
