Spraying Perfume on your body before moving close to Gas Fire

You need to be aware that some fluids are flammable.

Deodorants, perfumes, pesticide, air fresheners and some other chemicals are indeed flammable, but their degrees of flammability vary.

Even amongst deodorant and perfumes, the degree of flammability varies.

Therefore, it is possible to spray a small quantity of a brand of perfume on your cloth and approach gas fire without the fire latching onto your clothing, while you can spray the same quantity of another concentrated perfume on your cloth and fire latches onto your clothing immediately you get close to gas fire.

Since it may not be possible for you to know the degree of flammability of your deodorant/perfume, it is the safest for you not to even spray any perfume or deodorant on yourself before going to the kitchen to cook, or before getting close to any fire at all.

Someone who sprayed perfume on himself and approached lit candles was engulfed in flames and died in Nigeria some years ago.

Therefore it is in your overall best interest to desist from spraying perfume/deodorant on your body before going near gas or any fire at all.
